Dvs, vi visar upp vad vi sytt av scraps och försöker inspirera er andra till att använda scraps! Time Again!!!!! The days run fast when you are having fun! Every month on the 15th my friend Kate from Australia and I celebrate Scrap Happy Day. We post about our works with scraps and try to inspire you to use scraps in your projects! We link to bloggers that also are sewing with scraps and if you want us to link to you, so you can show us your scrappy projects, just say so in the comment below. Maybe not all of the bloggers are posting about scraps today, but they are all worth visiting!
Jag har ganska mycket scraps, så när jag blev tipsat om en Quilt-along där det skulle sys med nästan bara scraps, hoppade jag på den (Tack Kathy!). Till höger här på sidan hittar ni länken till Quilt-alongen. Namnet på quilten är ”Square Dance”. Den tredje fredagen i var månad kommer nästa del ut. I går tillbringade jag dagen med att skära till alla delar och ja, det blev lite tommare i mina scraphögar 🙂 Idag ska jag börja sy ihop några av dem ( jag ligger lite efter, men inte så mycket 🙂 )
I do have a lot of scraps, so when I heard about a Quilt-along where you mostly use scraps, I couldn´t resist it (Thanks Kathy!). On the right sidebar you´ll find the link to the Quilt-along. The name is ”Square Dance”. The third Friday every month there´s a new part! Yesterday I spent the whole day cutting scraps and yes, my scraps bags now have room for more scraps 🙂 Today I´ll start sewing the squares together (I´m a bit behind, but not that much 🙂 )

What a lot of squares you’ve cut already. It’s so rewarding to see the scrap levels go down instead of up, and I can’t wait to see what you’re making 🙂

There are a scheme for how many squares I´d need for different sizes of quilt. I´m doing a lap quilt!

My favourite size 🙂 Nice and quick to make, not too huge to quilt easily.

I am so happy you are doing the scrap dance too! I need to sit down and check my 9-patch blocks for size before I forget. You will easily be caught up as fast as you did the cutting.😄 What size are you making?

I´m doing the lap quilt! I think that is enough for me right now 🙂 Now I´m waiting for the next step 🙂
