I bought the book ”Trettiofem vantar”, Thirty-five Mittens, written by Maja Karlsson. It´s a wonderful book if you, like me, love to knit! It´s been some years since I last knitted, but this year I got ”bitten” again 🙂
In the book there´s a pattern called ”Värmlands rosen”, the Rose From Värmland ( that´s a part in Sweden) and since that is where I´m from, I just had to start with that. I had bought wool yarn in different colors and I decided to use them. I followed the pattern exactly and, unfortunately, the mittens got a bit bigger then expected. I guess they will warm my hands in the winter anyway!!
And they have your name on them! The pattern is beautiful, and maybe you can wear a thin pair of gloves inside them when it’s really, really cold!

Yes, but i had to rewrite the pattern for the name part. There are letter pattern to follow in the book. You just have to combine them!

Too bad they turned out large. Still, they’re lovely. I especially like the mittens on the cover of the book. 🙂

Since it is wool yarn, I might be able to shrink them 🙂
