Almost Christmas and maybe we will still have some time for working with our scraps. Fabric, paper, iron doesn´t matter as long as it is scraps. My friend Kate from Australia and I created this day, the 15th every month, so we can show and tell about our scrap projects. Scroll down on this side and you´ll find a list with names and links to all the members of this group. Do you work with scraps, do you want your name on this list? Just say so in the comment or contact Kate, first name on the list!

I´m working with 1.5″ squares, I have a lot of them! Since last month I haven´t done that much, but this is my project right now!

Last month someone posted, I think it was Debbierose, about selvadges and was thinking over how to use them in a quilt. I have made a quilt, using selvadges and thought I´d show you all. The squares are 6″ and the border is 5″ wide. I´m sorry the light for taking photos aren´t the best now a days, but it will do!

It is funny to meet other people who save oddments like selvedges – I thought I was the only odd one! How delightful to see them put to use in all these different ways!

I love your quilting! I often try to incorporate selvages into scappy quilts. Usually, though, they are in the ones I make for the animal rescue group. Not pretty, but useful. I also like to use scrap pieces of satin/silk ribbon to weave into squares for little quilts. so much easier than trying to sew 1/8inch strips.

Don´t ever throw scraps away, no matter how small they are 🙂
