Annas täcke / Anna´s Quilt

I höstas påbörjade jag två ganska stora projekt. Båda var hemliga! Ett är klart och mottagaren har fått sitt täcke, så nu kan jag åtminstone visa det!

Last fall I started on two rather big project. Both were secrets! One is done and has finally been gifted, so now I can show you the first quilt!

Mönstret heter  ”Whimsical Quilt” av Larene Smith och jag valde att sy täcket i olika blå färger. Det är frihandsquiltat på av mig på min symaskin. Olika mönster i de olika rutorna, men samtidigt lika 🙂

The pattern is ”Whimsical Quilt” by Larene Smith and I chose to sew the  quilt in different blue colors. It´s freehand quilted on  my sewing machine. I chose different pattern on the different blocks, but still the same 🙂

Baksidan är sydd av två tyger, det ena randigt och det andra rutigt. De är också olika, men lika 🙂 Jag har sytt ihop blocken efter metoden ”Quilt As You Go”.

The backing is done from two fabrics, one is with stripes, the other with squares. They are also different, but still the same 🙂 I used the method ”Quilt As You Go” when I sew the blocks together.
