Dags igen!
Time again! Put away your new, nice fabrics and start using your SCRAPS 🙂 On the 15th every month Kate (from Australia) and I are celebrating Scrap Happy Day! Last month I was gonna show you a scrap quilt, but didn´t have time to finish it. Now it is finished!
It started as a ”Scrap Vortex”, but I didn´t have enough odd scraps in the right colors, so I had to use squares. They are also scraps. Now the quilt is named ”Scrap Vortex Invaded by Squares”!
Här följer nu en lista på quiltare som ibland eller ofta använder scraps när de syr! Vill du också ha ditt namn med, så kontakta mig eller Kate!
Here´s a list of quilters who sometimes or often use scraps when they sew! If you want your name on the list, just contact me or Kate!

You have been cooking quite a meal in your häxkittel (I love the quilt’s name). 🙂

Thank you! I´m glad you love the Swedish name 🙂

Gun, it’s fabulous! It’s as if there was a gorgeous explosion in the scrap basket, all tight, small shapes at the centre, and exploding out into squares.
GillaGilla
Thank you! The only thing I don´t like is the size of the quilt. It is long, but not so wide. I don´t know how I planned it 🙂
GillaGilla
I think perhaps it just grew into what it wanted to be!
GillaGilla
Yes, maybe so. DH says he wants it and he can have it 🙂
GillaGilla
He has excellent taste!

Oh I LOVE how this came out–I do a lot of scrappy (mostly, really) quilts using squares so far, but my really scrappy bits and bobs are mounting up so, I will have to join in on this gala every 15th day of the month thanks for the idea hugs, Julierose

You are so welcome to join us! I do visit your blog now and then, but I can´t leave a comment to all the nice things you sew. I don´t know why and trust me, I have tried 🙂

GillaGilla

Gun, I really like the way the squares seem to disintegrate as they progress down the quilt. This turned out great! Whatever will you do next month? ;- )
GillaGilla
Thank you! I maybe will go back to my postage stamps quilt.
GillaGilla
I love your ‘explosive’ vortex quilt, so much colour and energy there.
GillaGilla
Thank you!
