Every summer Bonnie K. Hunter starts a new ”Leaders and Enders” project! This year she chose a quilt named ”Jewel Box Star”. I really liked the pattern, it´s a perfect scrap quilt. I started with my green scraps, sewing 2″ squares together and I also made triangles.
I don´t know how many blocks there´s gonna be in the end or if I have enough! I took all the squares there was in the box. If I have leftovers I´ll use them in a border. Some blocks are in just one color, others aren´t. It´s a rather fun and exciting feeling to just sew and then create a quilt of all the blocks!

I link one extra time to EvaJ, Monday, Show and Tell. She often uses scraps when she sew and she is very inspiring!
I really LOVE this! It looks like the facets of a diamond, glittering in the sun. Such a beautiful way to use your scraps 🙂

Din scrap quilt er fantastisk fin! Dette mønsteret vil jeg lagre. 🙂

Tack!

Those greens are really beautiful, and the bit of blue is fantastic!

Thank you!

colours & fabrics work so well together. It’s hard to believe they’re all scraps!
GillaGilla
Yes, but they are 🙂 I´ve been cutting 2″ squares and also 3.5″ squares (now used for the triangles) for a long time!

I am fascinated by this – is it 2” squares plus seam allowance, I’m guessing there is a lot of pressing too!
GillaGilla
It is 2″ squares and for the triangles 3.5″ squares. I had to cut the squares clean. They were too big compared to the HST.
